| Q: |
I have quite of few denominations of bills that have a star after the serial number. My question is,are these worth anything more then the face value?
|
| A: |
Older notes, 1929 and older have extra value. Notes from the 1950's, 60'
70's and newer are only worth more than face if they are uncirculated.
|
| Q: |
What is my Dollar, Quarter, Dime, etc. or old bill worth?
|
| A: |
Most coins & currency were made by the millions and at one of six different US mints. Accurate valuations are nearly impossible to make over the phone. I would offer the example of the 1896 silver dollar made at the New Orleans mint in circulated condition is worth $12-$14, but in uncirculated condition is worth nearly $1000.
It is best to bring in any old gold or silver coins or old currency for a free verbal evaluation at our Bettendorf store.
